It's like having two sets of parents.

This is with regards to well, dating someone. Unless of course that person has parents that really don't care what their kid does, but generally the guys I date do not have those kinds of parents. Good and bad, mostly good of course. First of all, the relationship is long distance. Second of all, we are both going on missions and so they want him to focus on his mission and they are worried he is too focused on me so don't want him to come and visit because they feel it is only attaching him more and blurring him more from the focused point they want him to be in. It'sssssssss really annoying, not that they want him to be focused, but just having like two sets of parents. One set punishes me, they are punishing him too, then the other set punishes him and it's punishing me as well. My frustration is more than I can say. The parents haven't met me, and I feel extremely judged. I supposed I will write more about this later one when I can actually gather my thoughts. Also along the two sets of parents thing is that parents don't like to budge because they have been independent for so long....so two sets of parents really don't want to budge and it makes it almost impossible to simply schedule one trip. -_- So the main point for today is that having two sets of parents, can be really quite frustrating.

Well we taught Relief Society

And it went rather well. I would just like to testify of the fact that personal stories are the BEST for Sunday lessons. It is a good thing I had a lot of them to share, so if you don't have any motivation to do anything outgoing, just think about it being a really great story one of these days, and that you will  be able to share it in a lesson one day. Also, on the topic of Relief Society, why is it called that? I feel like people should enter the room and everyone should be in massage chairs, or if you look at it in a different light we should all be suited up to save lives. Which I guess you could draw a huge parallel between the church and saving lives, but anyhow I just wonder how that name came to be. I feel old saying Relief Society because that was always what people older than me were in, now that I am in it, it's kind of like "Oh no! Old is upon us!" aha. Well that's all for today.

The Reunion

Well, we went to a Whiting reunion recently. It was a lot of fun and they had little things set up for us to do, so I thought I should post some pictures of them. :D

My sister and I in the "school" writing our names with quills and ink.

This is me using lye soap made by my great,
great, great grandmother, to clean a dirty rag on a washboard.
Me, with our piece of log we sawed off.
 The log and the saw.
Me with my cousin Mckenzie, at family dancing. :P
My sister and me holding our piece of log with our time of 5:23 on it, which is not a very good time, but we did it so it's better than not doing the activity at all. :P

Now

I tried to post something last time, but unfortunately it did not work.]
-Now, school is almost over.
-Now, grades mean a ton (well they always did, but they get more nervwracking at the end)
-Now, I am almost a Junior.
-Now, I am incredibly excited for summer, just to be out of school. (there's other reasons, but right NOW is what i am talking about.)
-Now, now, now, now (say it enough times it sounds funny)

School

Well, I am very excited, because school is over in less than a month which means that summer vacation is getting closer everyday. I have found out that I have nothing to do on the last day of school because periods 2 and 4 are my AP classes so we don't have to do anything and then theatre we have a final but you can perform it before during the week. I usually sign up for Tuesday or something. I also get to miss this Friday, because it is career day and we are not doing anything important in my classes except for turn in a project, so I will probably just go and turn it in and come home. Then I get to go visit my cousins in Arizona this weekend, Yay!!!!! That's always fun. Also, our one-act of A Midsummer's Night Dream is tomorrow night, and my cast is extremely ready for it. I can't wait. The biggest thing I am not excited about is the project for Bio. due on Friday, blech. It's a power point. Well, that's all for now. :D

Catch up.

Well, so a not-named person that I wanted to ask me to Prom, asked me to prom. Which was very fun, and I am very excited for. Also, I was a ballkid again at the BNP Paribas in Indian Wells. And last my birthday is in just a few more days!!!!!!! :D

Another

Well, I am writing another song. It is about balloons, who woulda thunk. (would have thought.)

Yessssssssssss!!!

I have finally, after many attempts, written a song that I am proud enough of to play for someone other than my little sister. I still need to work on it some though, so that it will be less tacky and unoriginal sounding. It is kind of like an outline of a good song. So, that is all for now. Best wishes to all and their endeavors. :)

For Emily

Okay, here's what I have been up to. First, I am desperately trying to write a song, and whenever I start humming a random tune in my head I record it on my camera so I don't forget it. Also, last night in my dream, me (in my dream) started coming up with a line for a song, I think I remember it. Also, yesterday I learned the Hoedown Throwdown, for fun, because I wanted to learn a choreographed dance, because I thought that would be fun, and it was. Plus I can go up with my friend and do the dance at the next dance, with the other few people who know it. :P Well, that is my new post.

Fire Safety

Well, as I was checking my e-mail just a few minutes ago, I was watching my little brother and sister out the window light a fire in our portable fire-pit outside. My little brother had the brilliant idea to pour gasoline on the fire to get it to start. As he poured gas onto the fire the fire lit and found its way up the stream of gasoline and got itself into the can. My little brother and little sister not knowing what to do decided to throw the can of gas into our pool right as I was running out screaming no (really, I was), getting ready to put dirt all over the can. Too late, us kids soon found ourselves with a giant fire inside our pool (luckily our pool needs remodeling so it is pretty much drained except for the rain that has made its way into it during the last few rain falls. Therefore, kids and people, I would like you all to know that dirt is what puts out gasoline, never put a can of gasoline into a large body of water. That's all for today folks! (P.S. No damage has come to anyone, and our pool is fine because we are going to re-do it anyways.)

Alzheimer's

Well, today my friend Toni had a meeting for he Girl Scout Golden Award project, or something like that. That project is basically for 65 hours and about something you are passionate about. She, chose Alzheimer's disease, because her Grandma has it and she has seen the effects of it.
So, I went to the meeting she invited me to and we learned about her project and such, also as a bonus there was pizza and cookies and water there.
At the end we got to sign up for volunteering to help out with the Alzheimer's clients (they don't like to say they are patients). So I have signed up for this Friday sometime after school.
Also, there is a walk I believe to support Alzheimer's patients and I plan to sign up for it once there is more information. It should be fun though. :)

Rain Rain Staaaaaaay!!!!

Hurray! It is raining, and although I would like to see the sun again and not have rain everyday. While it is here in the desert it is wonderful. And, for those of us who live in the desert, it also smells like creosote, which smells so good, and most of us call it the smell of rain. :D
Anyways, things have been going pretty well, finals are this week, but other than math I think they will all be fairly easy, which means this will be a wonderful week.

Christmas

Christmas was pretty amazing, mostly in the morning, because for me that is the only part that actually feels like Christmas. I got cute clothes and things and am hoping to get a pair of Toms shoes, maybe navy blue ones, from my grandparents. Christmas Eve was also very fun, we had people over at our house (which my mom likes having). The missionaries were over for a long time because there really wasn't much to do on Christmas Eve because so many people are away. Later we went over to our friends house to make tamales (a tradition to do on Christmas Eve or New Years Eve for mexican families) that was cool, and now we have a ton at our house which is good because I like them. Now, after Christmas we have family over and another week to spend out of school. Yay! :D

Songs

I am so pleased with my sisters two new songs. They are so happy and fun and I really think whoever reads this should hear them. I love to listen to them and they make me smile. :D

Christmas Party!

Well, I am kind of stressed with school and church things this week, but also happy because I am just getting things done. Tomorrow I have a performance in theatre and I hope that I do well. I am not all that prepared. I also have to finish a Spanish brochure project thing. And then finally I am kind of the main helper/ leader of throwing this sugar cookie decorating party for some nice old people in our ward. I just called some of them that hadn't responded and they sounded so cute and nice. They thought it was so nice that I had called. : ) Well, that is about it for now.
